I Reset It Every Single Time

You have never once got in on the first attempt.

Not once. Not in years. You put in what you believe is right, and it is not, and then you go through the whole business, and about four minutes later you are in.

And it works. Every single time. You have never once failed to get where you were going.

By any sensible measure, that is a functioning method. It takes four minutes instead of four seconds, and the four minutes are always available, and nothing has ever been lost.

So why does it feel the way it feels?

Because somewhere along the way you decided that a person doing this properly would not have to. That the resetting is what happens when something has gone wrong, and that the wrong thing is you.

Nobody ever told you otherwise. Nobody sat anybody down and explained what those systems are actually built to expect. That is a gap in the teaching, and it is not a gap in you.

And so every four minutes gets filed under failure instead of under method, and eleven years of that adds up to a man who thinks he cannot do a thing he does successfully every single time.

They shall renew their strength

There is a famous verse about waiting and rising, and the word at the center of it is one nobody thinks about.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31, King James Version)

Renew. That is the promise. Not retain. Not never run out.

Renewing is what you do with something that has been spent, and the verse takes it as given that strength runs down and has to be got again.

You are inside a promise about renewing rather than never needing to, and running out and getting more has never once been described in Scripture as a failure. Isaiah 40:31 says they shall renew their strength, and the Holy Spirit is the one who makes that ordinary for a man who has been calling his own renewing a defect.

Notice the order of the three images at the end. Mount up, run, walk. That is a descending order, and it is deliberate.

The verse ends on walking, which is the slowest and least impressive of the three, and it is the one given the word faint. The promise gets more ordinary as it goes and the endurance gets longer.

You have a promise that ends on the slow and ordinary rather than the spectacular, and taking four minutes rather than four seconds has never once put a man outside it. The Holy Spirit is the one who honors the walking as much as the mounting up, and it is written that the running and the walking are both covered.

And there is the first phrase, they that wait, which is the condition. Waiting is the thing being described as active here.

The four minutes are waiting. That is what waiting looks like on a Tuesday afternoon in a front room.

You were doing the waiting the verse describes and calling it a failure, and no four minutes spent getting where you were going has ever been the same as being stuck. The Spirit of God is the one who renames what a person has already been doing, and Scripture makes the waiting the condition rather than the problem.

What those systems actually expect

Now let me be concrete, because a general reassurance will not survive the next four minutes.

Those systems are built expecting people not to get in. That is not a concession or an apology. It is a design decision made deliberately by people who knew exactly what would happen.

The whole way back exists because getting shut out is the normal case, and it is used constantly, all day, by everybody, in every building in the country.

You are using the path that was built for the normal case, and the ordinary route has never once been the emergency exit anybody took it for. The Spirit of God is the one who tells a person what a thing was actually built for, and Isaiah 40:31 puts the renewing in the promise rather than in the small print.

And here is the second half, which is arithmetic rather than reassurance. Count the actual outcomes. Eleven years, several hundred occasions, and you have got where you were going every single time.

That is a success rate of one hundred percent, achieved by a method that has never once let you down. There is no honest way to file that under failure.

You have a record of getting in every single time and no record of failing once, and no successful method has ever once been correctly described as a defect. The written word promises renewal to those who wait rather than exemption to those who never tire, and the Holy Spirit is the one who reads a man's own record accurately.

Change one word

Now the small thing, and it is one word.

I am not going to suggest a better method. Yours works, it has always worked, and rebuilding a working thing because somebody might find it inelegant is not a good use of an afternoon.

Say out loud, that is the way I get in.

You are able to say one sentence about your own method out loud, and naming a thing correctly has never once been vanity in anybody. Isaiah 40:31 says they shall renew their strength, and the Holy Spirit is the one who is present when a man renames something he has carried for years.

The word that matters is way. Not again. Not still. Not have to.

Because at the moment the sentence in your head is, I have to do it again. That sentence has failure built into its grammar, and it runs several hundred times a year, and a sentence run that often stops describing and starts instructing.

That is the way I get in has no failure in it at all. It is a description of a method, and it is completely true, and it takes about two seconds to say.

You are changing one word in a sentence that runs several hundred times a year, and one accurate word has never once been a small thing in anybody's life. The Spirit of God is the one who corrects the grammar a man has been using about himself, and it is written that the renewing belongs to the ones who wait.
